During the week, researchers in the eChildHealth research program gathered to discuss ongoing research on access to healthcare in pediatric surgery.

- We are preparing the publication of qualitative research results based on interviews with parents of children who have left the hospital after surgery, says Runar Vilhjalmsson, professor at the University of Iceland, and a member of the research program.

eChildHealth focuses on developing child-centered care with the support of e-health. An international research team examines how digital platforms can facilitate communication between healthcare professionals and families when children with various long-term illnesses leave the hospital. The research program is funded by Forte and led by Professor Inger Kristensson Hallström.
